This log documents the critical transition from the initial, flat greyscale-generated model to a fully refined, manually sculpted piece. While I used digital sculpting tools to add fine details and definition to the front, a more significant reflective step involved addressing the piece’s functionality and ergonomics. I critically identified that the default flat back—a by-product of the relief process—would be “sharp” (锋利), “uncomfortable to wear” (带着不太舒服), and have a “poor hand-feel” (手感也不好). This functional flaw was unacceptable. Therefore, as the side-profile images demonstrate, I made the deliberate decision to “add a curvature” (增加了一个弧度) to the back. This was not a simple, single action; I “tried several methods” (尝试的几种方式) to create this contour before “adopting the final solution” (采用了最后一种方案), ensuring the piece would sit comfortably and smoothly against the wearer’s body.
