This log documents the developmental process of my preferred “stone lion” (石狮子) design draft. My method involved a systematic deconstruction of the concept, breaking the overall form down into many individual components. I then “extracted” (提取) specific design elements I liked from stone lion references and “re-synthesized” (重组) them into my new design. A critical and reflective decision during this phase was to replace the “skeletal hand” (手骨) element from my previous concept. As seen in the sketches, I have now changed that connection point to a “lion’s claw” (狮子的爪子), which serves to make this new Eastern-inspired concept more unified and coherent.
