This log documents a direct A/B comparison that led to a critical project decision. I fully modelled the experimental “hands” version (the grey/red model) to visually test it against my earlier, church-inspired design (the white model). This side-by-side comparison made it clear that the ‘hands’ version was an aesthetic failure. I critically concluded that it felt contrived, like “design for design’s sake,” and had lost its conceptual purpose. My primary assessment was simple but absolute: “I think it’s ugly” (我认为他不好看). This profound aesthetic failure meant I could no longer justify it as a “work of art.” This ‘failed’ experiment was therefore invaluable, as it gave me the evidence I needed to definitively abandon that direction and commit fully to developing the church-inspired concept, which this process confirmed was the stronger, more viable path.
