To resolve the creative block with the doll’s body, I experimented with a new concept: forming the entire torso from multiple “hands.” This idea was still connected to my “human bone church” research, as I intended to arrange these hands in a dense, repetitive pattern, similar to how the ossuaries arrange skeletal remains. However, as this 3D model demonstrates, I critically assess this attempt as a failure. While the idea itself was creative, the aesthetic result was highly unsuccessful. The visual effect was “a bit ugly” and “too fragmented,” creating a “disgusting” or unsettling feeling due to the dense, “messy” (密密麻麻) composition. It lacked a clear form, appeared visually ‘noisy,’ and ultimately did not achieve the sophisticated gothic elegance I was aiming for, forcing me to discard this solution.
