This log documents a second iteration of my 2D development. After modifying the initial shapes on the computer, I laser-cut them again, possibly in leather. While this attempt was “more suitable” than the paper models, I critically identified that the design sense still felt immature and lacked sufficient personal characteristics or originality. To address this, I conducted deeper research for more specific inspiration, which led me to the highly relevant precedent of a “human bone church” (ossuary). This discovery was a breakthrough, perfectly merging anatomical and architectural themes. This informed a new, intensive two-day design phase. As shown in the screenshots, my refined method was to first integrate my initial planar structures with elements from Gothic church architecture, establishing this hybrid form as a new “basis for modification.” This process of layering architectural and anatomical references was a crucial step in moving from generic shapes toward a more unique and mature design language.
