I was told by the staff of the 3D printing studio that I couldn’t use this material for cutting because it contained plastic. So I changed my strategy. I cut the acrylic plate with laser cutting, and then carved it off the leather with a carving knife. In this step, I accidentally found that the shape of this acrylic board is also very beautiful. Maybe it can be developed into another project later. After I found that this method was feasible, I cut the shape of the other parts with laser cutting. Then draw them all on the back of the leather as needed and cut them off. I have to admit that I need to avoid this kind of material later, because they are very time-consuming. In order to cut the noodles I needed, I spent almost a day repeating labor. Fortunately, it‘s done. And master a new skill, which will add a problem-solving method to my future creation.
